How did we get here?

I became a bride in 2022 and I hated almost every part of the dress-shopping experience. I tried on something like 75 dresses across Toronto and New York, and I left most of those appointments feeling like a number. Everything was $10,000 to $20,000 and nothing felt personal or particularly special. Toronto, in particular, had almost nothing that matched the kind of bride I wanted to be.

So I made my own pieces - one for my civil ceremony here, and one for our wedding in Greece, where my husband's family is from. Kyria (Κυρία) is Greek for Mrs. It felt right.

That experience is why this brand exists. I wanted to make the kind of bridal pieces I couldn't find - romantic, a little different, actually made here in Toronto, at a price that doesn't make you wince. Pieces for the whole lead-up to your wedding, not just the one day. Things you'll wear again.
